Welcome to Week Three

Our class is slowly taking shape. The children are learning about what is expected of them in the class and they are showing that they understand what good behaviour looks like. the children now have reading books that they can read every night. They are learning spelling words or sight words each day as well. Everybody is trying hard to improve their work.

Maths

This week we have been solving simple math problems by looking for clues from the white board. We have been showing that we now know all about "tens and ones." In an other activity we were able to order, a set of mixed up numbers, from smallest to largest correctly.

We also had a little look at some timestables and decided that they were gong to easy to learn!!!

Fruit Survey By Year 7

The students from year seven are conducting a survey about what fruits are liked by the children at UDIS. So this week they came to our class to ask us about our favourite fruits. Here they are asking us questions.

UOI

This week during our unit of inquiry lessons, we found out more about where our learning is going. We now know what we need to find out about next week in class. The exciting news is that we are making slideshows using google slides during our UOI lessons. We are making a slide show that shows our understanding of what a balanced lifestyle should look like.

English

We had a first try at writing a story this week. There are so many different parts to this activity and we did well to create something others can read. As the year goes on we will improve our handwriting then, we will join up our writing.

Making our writing interesting will be a focus this year. We can do this by adding adjectives to our writing.

ASSEMBLY

Our assembly this week took place in the year six class and we learned about how we can care for our planet. in class we made posters that we will put up around the school.
