Telling the Time

Mathematics

We have embarked on a journey that when we are finished the children will be able to tell the time accurately. It will start off with them learning about quarter past and quarter to and by the end they will know all the 5 minute interval times as well.

 

 

Our UOI Work

The children have learned how to set up their own investigation. They have created questions and are using Google search, slides and documents as a way of finding answers and presenting it to the rest of the class.

Reading

We read about how our eyes worked to let us see the world. 

Mr. John showed us a simple experiment that let us see the way our eyes change size to let light in to our heads.

TimesTables

The students have begun working hard on learning many times tables. So far they have learned the: 2, 3, 4.and the 6. They are looking forward to learning the 7 and 8 times table next week.

Handwriting 

Each week we practice our handwriting so that we can join up our letters to make our writing look fantastic and write faster.

We created a poster that will help us to remember what to before we can say that we are finished our writing.

Then we shared our poster to the rest of the class.

Friday is the day we show that we have learned to spell a set of new words.
