Welcome Back

Old Versus New!

We have started researching into how peoples lives were different in the past. We want to find out what things were better then and what things have improved and made our lives easier today.

 

We also had a chance to watch some black and white cartoons and comedy shows from the past.

 

In mathematics we have been experimenting with what we must do when we have to divide numbers into groups. The tricky part is when we have some counters left over and they don't share easily. It means we have to cut up the counters to make everything share evenly with all the groups.

 

We are trying really hard to improve our handwriting skills and we want to be able to start using joined up writing very soon.

We were listening carefully about why portfolios are important and how we can make our portfolios the best place to show all of what we have learned during the term. 

   

Spelling Test 

Wow! Even though we only had two nights to learn our spelling words this week everyone in the class achieved a supremely high score. Well done to all of you!!!

                 

Study Ladder

We were able to demonstrate using study ladder, what dividing looks like. 

We are also concentrating on memorizing our two times table next week and in preparation for this the class completed various activities concerning what does the two times table mean and look like. 

Congratulations 

I am very proud of all of these students. During their break from school they all took time to use study ladder to help improve their skills even though they were not at school!
