Swimming 

We have switched days and times so that the students get a chance to swim every week. The children have enjoyed getting back in the water. For your information we now swim on Wednesday afternoons.  This will change back to Tuesday mornings when the weather gets warmer.

Fire Drill

We had a fire drill this week to keep fresh in our minds, what we should do if there ever was a fire at our school.

Animal Habitats 

We have been busy learning about animals habitats. We then created a diorama to show what we know about the environment they live in. We also thought about ways that we can look after the places that they live in.

Group Reading

Each week the students get into various groups to practice their reading skills.

Field Trip 

To round off our unit of inquiry, we went to Gaia Ashram, to learn about other ways we can recycle and use the earths natural resources to look after our world. We saw how they used plastic to make building bricks. We also helped them to make mud bricks. That was a lot of fun. We tried our hand at plastering walls as well.

Maths

Maths has been about learning how we measure liquids. We explored the reasons why different containers may be different sizes but hold the same amount of water.
