Good
morning. Our names are John and Am. We are excited to welcome you to year 2. We
look forward to meeting you and your child on Tuesday.
About Me
I
was born in Glasgow, Scotland. When I was sixteen my family and I immigrated to
Australia. There I completed my high school education and attended university.
I have taught in Australia, Turkey, Thailand, Kuwait, and Qatar. I enjoy
playing football and basketball. I have worked in Thailand for nine years and
have been a primary school teacher for over thirty years working with children
of all primary school age. I enjoy teaching. Here is some information to help
the school year start smoothly.
Homework
Your
children will be expected to complete some homework during the week, however,
please no more than twenty minutes per session! If there are problems with the home work I
would like you to put the activity away, let me know and I will address the
problems the following day. Homework should not be difficult, it should be fun.

It will always be about something we are
learning in class. There will only be Thai homework on Wednesday and very
little homework on a Monday.
Class Expectations
I
expect every child to enjoy each day of learning. They should come to school
with a full stomach and eagerness to learn. In class they must try their best
at all times. It does not matter that their best is not the same as someone
else’s best! The children should be
friendly and polite to their friends and all staff. I expect all the children
to improve their knowledge and skills throughout the year. I hope they will use
good manners at all times.

Miss Am
Hi I’m Am, I was born in Bangkok
and moved to Nongbualamphu province when I was three years old. I graduated
from Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isaan campus, where I studied a Major in Humanities
of English.
This is my second year of working at UDIS. In my free time I often listen to music, watch
movies and spend time in coffee shops. I like to work with the children. I like
to learn about different cultures and develop my English skills. I am looking forward meeting you
on Tuesday and I am very excited to make a wonderful year with you.

สวัสดีครับผมชื่อจอรน์
ผมเกิดที่เมืองกลาสโกรว์ประเทศสก็อตแลนด์ เมื่อผมอายุ 16 ปี
ครอบครัวผมย้ายไปอาศัยอยู่ที่ออสเตรเลียซึ่งผมจบการศึกษาชั้นมัธยมและระดับมหาวิทยาลัยที่นั่นด้วย
เกี่ยวกับผม
ผมชอบเล่นกีฬาฟุตบอลและบาสเก็ตบอล
ผมพยายามที่จะฝึกฝนการเล่นกีตาร์อีกด้วย ตอนนี้ก็ย่าเงข้าปีที่ 7
สำหรับการทำงานในเมืองไทยของผม ผมผ่านการสอนในโรงเรียนระดับประถมศึกษามาเกือบ 30
ปี ในหลากหลายประเทศและวํฒนธรรมที่แตกต่าง
การบ้าน
ในระหว่างอาทิตย์ทางเราคิดว่านักเรียนควรจะได้รับการบ้านกลับไปทำเล็กน้อยเพื่อฝึกฝนแต่ไม่ควรจะเกิน
30 นาทีในการทำแต่ละส่วน
ถ้าหากการบ้านที่นักเรียนได้รับยากเกินไปผมอยากจะให้เก็บการบ้านส่วนนั้นไว้และแจ้งให้ผมทราบเพื่อที่จะหาทางออกในให้การบ้านที่ง่ายเพื่อที่จะทำให้นักเรียนสนุกและเกิดการเรียนรู้
ความคาดหวังในห้องเรียน
ผมหวังว่านักเรียนทุกคนจะมีส่วนร่วมมีความสุขกับการเรียนในห้องเรียนแต่ละวัน
พวกเขาควรจะอยากมาโรงเรียนด้วยความพร้อมและในห้องเรียนนักเรียนควรจะพยายามทำให้ดีที่สุดในทุกๆครั้ง
ไม่จำเป็นต้องเปรียบเทียบความเก่งของตัวเองกับเด็กคนอื่นในห้องแต่นักเรียนควรจะสุภาพและอ่อนน้อมกับเพื่อนและครูในโรงเรียนทุกคน

หากมีการจัดงานในโรงเรียนคุรพร้อมจะมาเข้าร่วมเป็นจิตอาสาช่วยเหลือทางโรงเรียนหรือไม่
