Agreement in Class Again
This week we had a talk about what we do when there is something bothering us at school. We agreed that when someone plays differently to the rest of the class, there are steps that can help to make everyone understand what is acceptable play and what is not acceptable. Then we can all be happy with each other once more.
Maths
This week we had a times table challenge.
Most of the children did very well, only getting one or two questions wrong....others still need a bit more revision!!!!!!
Library
Sadly this is the last week we can take books out of the library. So please make sure that the children return all their books this Tuesday.
Reading With Year 4
We had our bi-weekly read-a-long with year 4. This is a time when the year two class can enjoy hearing older children read stories to them. The year twos enjoy this time because it also has a social element to this time. They can make friends with the older children.
Slide Show
Our unit of inquiry sees us creating questions that we can find answers to, relating to different famous artists. Then when the answers are found we can present them as a slide show.
Music and Drama
We are learning our songs for the end of year show, with Mr Terry, Mr Ham and two helpers from year 6
Drawing Emotions
Today we spoke and learned about how our face is very useful at telling people how we feel. After this we talked about the emojis people use on their telephones.
We decided to draw and create our own emojis.
One of our students became a risk taker today.
She is becoming a confident learner.
She was very nervous, shy and didn't like to speak English when she arrived at our class, however today she was able to stand in front of the class and speak English and communicate her ideas regarding her friend's emojis. Well Done Miss V!!!
