Swimming and end of year concert preparation has begun

HI EVERYONE

Welcome to this weeks  year two class blog. The big news is that we are now starting to prepare for our end of year concert. The children are working hard at memorizing two songs that they will perform during the concert. Some of our class may be playing the piano with the support of the Yamaha Music School. 

We are looking forward to it!

SWIMMING

Oodles and noodles of fun in the pool this week.

Maths

We started using a new interesting math program this week. Next week, once we know how to use the program well, we will be able to use it at home. "It really is fun" said one of the students "and we are doing math also!" Look out for the user names and passwords next week!

Maths Quiz 

This week in maths we had a series of word problems that we had to read and think about in order to solve them. When we had solved a problem we shared our strategies with the rest of the class to show our understanding of the question.

Reading in The Library

We had a lot of time this week in the library and the time we had we made good use of.

Unit of Inquiry

We have come to the end of our study into public places To finish off we designed our own play park. We could have what ever we wanted in the park. When we had finished our plans, we explained what we had done through a video app. We talked about our work and our friends commented on our work through another video. "We really enjoyed talking about our work and telling our friends what we thought of their work." The students said.
