Visiting Performer

This week we were treated to a play by a visiting performer that reminded us all about the problems that plastic has made for our environment. we saw what happens to fish sea turtles and birds that eat plastic left behind by humans.

Award Certificates

Congratulations to the children that have gained award certificates for completing different stages of the study ladder program. 

   

Library

We visited the library and enjoyed trying to find books about force, pulleys and levers.

Maths 

In maths we learned about different sets of money that can equal 1000 baht. We revisited how we find fractions of whole numbers and we tried to solve problems that involved the ten times table. Now we are trying to remember different strategies to help us calculate problems in our head.

English

We had a try at using "Read Theory" to help us improve our reading skills. We learned our spelling words this week and achieved excellent results. 

Physical Education

We had fun in the pool this week and are looking forward to our first full length lesson next Monday. Today because of the atmosphere we stayed indoors and completed a quiz about how we can stay healthy. 

Unit Of Inquiry

We investigated how force is present in our every day life. 

Dr. Lindsay flew his drone and we discussed and were able to explain how the drone is able to fly. We are using vocabulary such as; friction, gravity, pushing and pulling forces. We can talk about air resistance and tell why objects slow down.
