Forces and Energy

This week we got together to think about the ways forces work in our life. We shared our ideas with our friends and thought about questions we could investigate about this topic.

ReadTheory

We use a reading program that helps us to improve our reading. It is called read theory. Each week we spend some time reading and answering questions online to improve what we understand when we read.

Thailand and Indonesia 

Next week is international week. We have chosen to find out about Indonesia. one of our class members is from this country and its great that they can share their knowledge with us. In preparation for next week we did some research this week to find out some of the interesting things about this country and compare it to Thailand.

Assembly and With Ms Emmi 

Miss Emmi decided she wanted to come and be a student in our class on Thursday. So she became "Emmi" for the morning and joined in all the activities that the class were doing that day. I think she really enjoyed herself. She also found some of the work very difficult to complete.

After the assembly on Thursday we talked about what conflict means and how we can solve conflicts in our class, when they happen.

Maths Monday Measuring 

So now we know how to read the scale on a set of weighing scales. We can estimate what might be less then a kilo and what will weigh more than a kilogram. Then check our estimate.

Then we set off round the school to see where else we could use our newly found skills.

Reading With Year 4

We have set up a shared reading tome with year 4. It will happen every second week. the students of year 4 came to read to us and at the end of the activity Mr Mark read to the whole class. All of the students involved really enjoyed the activity.
