Poetry and Fractions

Writing 
We have been learning about rhyming words. Very soon we will be writing our own rhyming sentences. 

We might even get to write our own simple poetry verses.

Unit Of Inquiry

We are learning about the past and how many things have changed and they are much more useful now than before. They are easier to use and that our lives have become easier because of these changes.

Words instead of "And"

We have made a list of words that we can choose to write instead of always using the word "and" in our stories. This will make our writing much more interesting and fun to read.

We had an exciting morning where our Mums and Dads came to see what it is that we do each day. I hope now our parents can see how the children work in class each day. It was fun to have you in there.

Mathematics

We have embarked on a new topic. It is an investigation into the world of fractions. 

We have used counters and computers to help us understand the way fractions work.
